[VIDEOS] What type of Market Does Your Area Have?

The market continues to change especially in the rural and semi-rural communities that we serve. At this time of the year we see some homes that haven’t sold go off the market with owners deciding to wait until next spring.

Real estate markets can change and change suddenly, waiting to next spring is never a guarantee that the market will be better.

There is also a myth out there that the market dies in the fall and winter months. NOT TRUE.

For the past 5 years we have been exceptionally busy in the fall right up to and including sales negotiated on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. It is true there are fewer sales, but there is also a lot less competition for you. It is a different type of buyer in the fall and winter- these are very serious buyers who need to find a home. Whereas in the spring you get more showings, but a lot of the buyers are lookers, not yet serious.

I have updated the videos on the selling conditions for several communities and these will show whether they still have a Sellers’ market, or if it changed to a Balanced or Buyer’s market?

All of the videos are less than one minute long. Check out the type of market in:

Greely, Kemptville-North Grenville, Russell-Embrun, Metcalfe-Osgoode- Vernon, North Dundas, Manotick-North Gower-Kars.

These areas will give you a good idea as to what is happening. Other areas available on request. Call or text 613-897-6839.

The videos can be found under the market statistics tag in the Buyers or Sellers’ Market section of our main web page located HERE. Scroll down to the halfway point of the page.

Have a great day!
